Located in the Midlands at the e-Innovation Centre, University of Wolverhampton in Telford, Shropshire, A&A Computers are just 16 miles from Shrewsbury A&A Computers - Genner Communications are ideally located to provide a low cost computer maintenance, computer hardware sales and computer support service to the entire UK. This web site is effectively our online UK computer shop.

We deal with home computer sales, business computer sales, home computer upgrades, business computer upgrades & computer support services across the UK.

Locally, we deal with computer sales, computer upgrades, computer support, fault finding / fault resolution, computer maintenance & computer repair for home computers (home PCs) & small business computers across Telford, Shrewsbury and Shropshire.

But low cost can still mean high quality service. We are a Microsoft partner & our computer engineers are both highly qualified & highly experienced.

Most work on home computer and small business computer issues (including the creation of this web site) is undertaken in house. This is why we tend to limit our computer repairs service to computer repair in Telford, computer repair in Shifnal & computer repair in Shrewsbury / Shropshire. It is also the reason that we have included letters of commendation which have been received from clients such as the Ministry of defence about the work of A&A engineers.

We originally set up A&A Home Computer & Small Business Computer Maintenance & Repair to provide a high quality - low cost computer service for both home computer users & small business computer users who find that they need local IT support which is tailored to their individual requirements. Although the list of home and small business clients is quite extensive, all work prior to the launch of this web site has been received via recommendations.

Our sales system is designed to be easy to use, & has been designed around the Pay Pal system. This is because Paypal was designed "from the ground up" by Ebay for Ebay users as a totally secure online payment system. Windows re-installation

A&A Computing have the ability, experience & facilities to be able to support, configure & maintain your Microsoft products.

A&A Computing can re-install legitimate, licensed versions of Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Professional onto your laptop computer, desktop computer or tower computer, complete with the available drivers, security updates, anti spyware software, pop-up blockers, firewall & anti virus software (your PC must have a legitimate Windows Product Key - Windows licence). 

A&A Computing can also fit a new hard disk drive or use your existing hard drive & use your own licence key or Recovery CDs (also known as Restore CDs) to re-install Windows, & can even install & configure additional security features such as anti virus software & anti spyware software.

Problem;   Computer is running slow

Answer;     There are many possible reasons for this, below are a few sample answers

• 1;   The hard drive could be faulty, full or badly fragmented

• 2;   There may be programs numerous programs running in the background which are "using up" resources (eg; firewalls, Kazaa etc)

• 3;    The computer may have been hacked, or could be infected with a virus, viruses or spyware

• 4;    The computer may be low on memory or may need a bigger video (graphics) card

Problem;   I have a virus

Answer;     There are many possible solutions. A few are listed below

Problem;   I want to install or to share broadband on a home or small business network

Answer;     Home Networking can be achieved in a number of ways & the best solution is dependant upon exactly what you are trying to achieve & the specification & operating systems of the PCs.

• 1;   If you want a simple network between 2x PCs for game play or data sharing, then this can often be achieved via the use of NICs (Network cards) & a crossover cable.

• 2;   If you want to share a broadband connection, this will require the use of a router. The type of router will be dependant upon the type of broadband used (eg; Telewest and NTL  use a different system to BT & Virgin) & the type & number of PCs.

Problem;   I suspect that my high phone bills are due to spyware on my PC

Answer;     This is often due to spyware being present on the hard drive.

• 1;   We can identify & remove all known versions of spyware, usually identify the source & often provide a means for the customer to obtain a re-fund.

• 2;   We can provide effective protection against all known types of spyware.

Examples;

• 1;   A business computer user (who worked from home in Shrewsbury) was paying an average of £150 per month on his phone bill. Removing the spyware from his system reduced this to an average of £35 per month. We then installed a system to prevent this from happening again.

• 2;    A private computer user in Telford noticed that £250 had been withdrawn from his account. We identified the source of  the withdrawal, provided evidence for him to obtain a refund & installed a system to prevent this from happening again.

Matched Optical Drive Options

We also offer a double drive option whereby we supply a matched & pre configured DVD ROM drive & CD writer package or a DVD ROM drive & DVD Writer package. This configuration offers customers the advantage of being able to copy from disk to disk.

With each of the above options, we supply matched drives which are pre configured in our workshops to connect to the same cable, & to work with & compliment each other.
